How to analyze the results of your Menti Live

Turn your presentation results into actionable insights with detailed results analysis and export options.

After a Menti Live presentation, you can dig into participant responses to understand patterns, measure impact and inform future sessions. Here’s how to analyze your Menti Live results effectively.

View your results in the Menti Live

You can see your results directly in the presentation view or open the Results tab to view more detailed information.

The Results page opens on the Highlight tab, an executive summary of your session: the engagement rate, AI-generated insights, quiz results, and Q&A. Each row can be expanded for more detail. The Questions tab shows the results of each question, with one chart per question. The Participants tab shows the Participants table, where you can read across a row to see how one person answered every question.

Check out the Results page article for a detailed overview of what you can find there."

Export your results

ou can export your data for further analysis using the Export button at the top of the Questions and Participants tabs on the Results page. PDF export and Excel export are available on Basic, Pro and Enterprise plans.

You can download a PDF file of the whole Menti (or individual slides) that shows exactly what is displayed in the Menti. This format makes it easy to print your results or share them with others.

The Excel export shows all participant responses. If you have previously cleared the results and used the same Menti Live for multiple sessions, you will see a tab for each session. If you have previously cleared the results and used the same Menti for multiple sessions, you will see a tab for each session.

This is great for digging deeper into the numbers and tracking results over time.

To compare how individual participants answered without exporting, open the Participants tab on the Results page."

If you asked an identifying question during the Menti, you will be able to match responses to participants. Check out this article to learn more about identifying participants.

Analyze and interpret your results

Here are a few ways to make sense of the input you’ve gathered:

Quantitative analysis

  • Look at scale and ranking slides to identify trends and spot consensus or divergence.

  • Compare responses from early questions (e.g., expectations) to end-of-workshop feedback to track shifts in sentiment or understanding.

  • Measure engagement using the engagement rate on the Highlight tab and the Engagement column in the Participants table, which shows how much of the Menti Live each participant answered. Sort the table by most engaged to see where interaction dropped off.

The Questions tab on the Menti Live Results page, showing a results chart for one question and how many of the participants answered it.

Qualitative analysis

  • For open-ended responses, group ideas into themes. You can also do this during a live session by using the AI Grouping feature.

  • Analyze participant sentiment by tracking if comments are generally positive, neutral or critical.

  • Highlight standouts by pulling out strong quotes or creative ideas for reporting or reflection.

  • Start from the Insights row on the Highlight tab: Mentimeter generates short observations about your participants' responses, which can point you to the questions worth a closer look. For a deeper AI summary, see AI Key Insights.

Compare across sessions

If you run the same Menti Live multiple times, Mentimeter lets you view results from each session or combine them for comparison. To view a single past session, select it in the Sessions list in the sidebar on the left of the Results page. AI Key Insights and AI Grouping are only available on the current session. If you have previously cleared the results and used the same Menti over multiple sessions, you can see historical data and track trends.

With the right analysis, your Mentimeter data can become more than just a moment of interactivity, it can become a powerful tool for reflection, learning and decision-making. Below are some example use cases to help you get the most out of your results.
