How to Analyze the Results of Your Mentimeter Presentation

Turn your presentation results into actionable insights with detailed results analysis and export options.

Updated this week

After a presentation, you can dig into participant responses to understand patterns, measure impact and inform future sessions. Here’s how to analyze your Mentimeter results effectively.

View your results in Mentimeter

You can see your results directly in the presentation view or open the Results tab to view more detailed information.

The Results page will show you a summary of each slide, as well as overall participation stats and further presentation details in the Overview pane.

Check out this article for a detailed overview of the results page and information on what kind of information can be found there.

Export your results

Mentimeter allows you to export your data for further analysis:

You can download a PDF file of the whole presentation (or individual slides) that shows exactly what is displayed in the presentation. This format makes it easy to print your results or share them with others.

If you have a paid plan, you can also export your results as an Excel spreadsheet which shows all participant responses. If you have previously cleared the results and used the same presentation for multiple sessions, you will see a tab for each session.

This is great for digging deeper into the numbers and tracking results over time.

If you asked an identifying question during the presentation, you will be able to match responses to participants. Check out this article to learn more about identifying participants.

Analyze and interpret your results

Here are a few ways to make sense of the input you’ve gathered:

Quantitative Analysis

  • Identify trends: Look at scale and ranking slides to spot consensus or divergence.

  • Track shifts: Compare responses from early questions (e.g., expectations) to end-of-workshop feedback.

  • Measure engagement: Which slides got the most responses? Did interaction drop off?

Qualitative Analysis

  • Theme coding: For open-ended responses, group similar ideas into themes. You can also do this during a live session by using the AI Grouping feature.

  • Sentiment analysis: Are comments generally positive, neutral or critical?

  • Highlight standouts: Pull out strong quotes or creative ideas for reporting or reflection.

Compare Across Sessions

If you run the same presentation multiple times, Mentimeter lets you view results from each session or combine them for comparison. If you have previously cleared the results and used the same presentation over multiple sessions, you can see historical data and track trends.

With the right analysis, your Mentimeter data can become more than just a moment of interactivity—it can become a powerful tool for reflection, learning and decision-making. Below are some example use cases to help you get the most out of your results.
