This is the Presentation view

Get acquainted with the Presentation view to know what to expect when you're presenting.

So, you've started making Mentis? Great to hear it! When you are ready to present, click on the Start presentation button in the top right corner of the editor and you will be taken to the Presentation view.

What you see

When you click Start presentation and start presenting, you will see a few things:

  • Your question at the top of the slide

  • The Close Menti and Fullscreen buttons in the top-left corner

  • The Mentimote and presenter participation buttons in the top-right corner

  • The navigation arrows and the Insights button in the lower-left corner

  • The number of responses/total number of participants who have joined the Menti in the lower-right corner

  • The Presentation menu along the bottom of the screen

  • Depending on the settings you have selected for each slide, you may also see the participation instructions in the bottom-right corner or along the right side of the slide

Note: some of these options will only appear when you move the mouse over the slide.

How to move between slides

To go to the next slide in the Menti, use your keyboard’s arrow-keys or the arrows in the lower-left corner. When you go to the next slide, the new slide will also be shown in the participants’ devices. To let your audience move on to the following questions without you needing to show them, you can change the presentation mode.

When you have received responses

Once your audience has participated in your Menti, the results will display in the slide depending on the settings you've chosen. Check out this article to learn more about how to hide and show results.

Keyboard shortcuts

From the Presentation view, you can also bring up a menu of keyboard shortcuts for quick adjustments and presentation features:

The Presentation menu

If you hover with your pointer in the lower part of the presentation view, a presentation menu will appear.

Here you will find all the settings and functions that you can set and use during the presentation. In this menu you will find the following options:

The Start presentation dropdown menu

Next to the Start presentation button in the top right corner, you will find a small arrow which you can click to reveal a dropdown menu with the following option:

Next to the Start presentation button you can also see a small button with a logo representing an eye. This button opens Preview mode where you can see what the presentation will look like for both you and your audience.
