Have you ever felt stuck behind your computer when running presentations? Control your slides wherever you are in the room by using the Mentimote on your smartphone. Navigate between slides, reference your Presenter notes, moderate your Q&A session and much more!
How to access the Mentimote
The Mentimote is free to use for all Mentimeter users. You can open the Mentimote from both your smart device and from your computer.
Please Note: The Mentimote will only work in Presentation mode, as it involves the Presenter pacing the presentation. Due to this, the Mentimote will not work while in Survey mode.
Open the Mentimote from your smart device:
Log in to your Mentimeter account from your smart device
Open your presentation
Click on the three dots in the upper right corner to open the setting menu
Select “Mentimote”
Open the Mentimote from your computer:

Open your presentation
Click the drop-down arrow by the Present button in the top right corner
Select "Open Mentimote"
Open the Mentimote from your presentation:

Open your presentation and click Present
Hover your cursor over the top right corner of the screen to reveal the toolbar and the Open Mentimote button:
How to present with the Mentimote
The Mentimote view is divided into three sections:
Left panel
On the left panel, you can control specific settings for the slide you’re currently presenting or for the presentation as a whole. These include:
This section will also adapt to whichever slide type you’re currently on, giving you specific commands and features (for example, changing the layout of responses or giving you the change to moderate specific inputs from the audience).
Middle section
The middle section shows you your current slide, as well as a preview of the next one. If you’ve added presenter notes to the current slide, you’ll see them under the slide preview. This is also where you can move on to the next slide (or return to the previous one) using the arrows at the bottom.
Right panel
The right panel controls the Q&A feature. You can open or close questions from the audience, show a specific question on screen, order questions by “top ranked” or “most recent”, and more.
