If you have more than one Mentimeter Pro licence, you will automatically get team features. In your Team members page you can manage how your team is set up – decide how you want your team members to join the team, invite colleagues or downgrade existing ones.

To access the team members page, click on the settings menu in the top right corner of your dashboard and select “Team members” in the dropdown menu:

Before you invite your team members, you can choose how you want your team to join – by an invitation link or via a join page.

Invitation only

This option lets you invite new members by sending them a personal invitation. In the Join settings, you can restrict the invited person to use Mentimeter with the exact same email address as you sent the invite to.

Create a page where members can join

Instead of sending personal invitations to all team members, you can create a page where they can join. When setting up the page, we recommend that you add your email domain(s) to ensure that only people working at your company can join.

Invite colleagues

If you have created a page where members can join, you can simply share the URL to that page to people you'd like to invite. Every person joining through this page needs to verify their email address.

If you want team members to join by invitation only, you can send out invitations as described below.

How to send out invitations

  1. Select the “Team members” tab
  2. Scroll down to “Invite new members” and type in their email addresses
  3. Click the “Send invitation” button
  4. Your colleagues will receive a unique invitation link to join your subscription

When your colleagues follow the unique invitation link in their email, they can choose to sign up or log in to join your team.

If you have sent out an invitation to the wrong email address you can cancel the invitation. In the Members list, click on the tab “Invited” and select “Cancel invitation” next to the email address of the colleague that you want to cancel the invitation for.

Downgrade colleagues

If a colleague that belongs to your Mentimeter team no longer works in your organization or no longer needs their Mentimeter license, the owner and admins of the subscription can remove the colleague and replace this user with someone else.

How to downgrade a colleague

  1. Select the “Team members” tab
  2. Scroll down to the section “Members”
  3. In the members list, click on “Downgrade” for the colleague that you want to remove from your team.

Once the user has been downgraded they will be moved onto a free plan. This means that they will still be able to access and use their account, but will no longer be part of the team.

In the members list you can also change the role of members to give them admin rights.
