Add Speaker notes to your slides

Use Speaker notes to add extra notes that only you can see during the presentation.

Speaker notes are a useful feature when presenting as you can look at them to remember important points whilst talking in front of an audience. You can make Speaker notes as detailed or short as you want.

Keep in mind that while you can add Speaker notes to your slides with any plan type, you will need a Pro or Enterprise plan in order to access them using the Mentimote.

How to add Speaker notes

In the Edit view underneath the main slide area, you will see a text box where you can type your notes. You can add Speaker notes to every slide.

After you click 'Speaker notes' the field will expand for you to add your notes.

How to present with Speaker notes

When you start your presentation and press Start Presentation in the top right-hand corner, your Speaker notes aren’t visible. To view your Speaker notes you will need the Mentimote which you can access both via desktop computer and smartphone.

The Speaker notes will appear on the right of the Mentimote page (Pro feature) on the computer or on your smartphone. As you progress through your presentation, the Speaker notes will advance too and automatically change to match the current slide in your presentation.

Present from your desktop computer

This is how it will look like when you present with the Mentimote from your desktop computer:

Present from your smartphone

If you use the Mentimote on your phone, you will see the Speaker notes right at the top:

Your notes will then appear and you can go to the previous slide or the next slide.

Pro tip: If you are going to share your screen, only share the tab where you have the presentation displayed. Then you can open the Mentimote in a new tab on your computer that only you will see. Alternatively, you can use Mentimote on your phone. Log into your Mentimeter account on your smartphone and open Mentimote on the presentation you want.
