The majority of the information in this article applies to Menti Live. See below for text formatting options in Menti Form.
You can change the font size in your Menti on all plans. You can change the font style on Pro and Enterprise plans by creating your own Theme. It is not possible to upload or use your company's own font.
How to change the style of your font in Menti Live
You can change the font style in Menti Live by choosing a font family when you create your own Theme. Custom Themes are available on Pro and Enterprise plans.
To change the font style in Menti Live:
In the editor, go to the Themes tab in the right-hand sidebar.
Click + Create.
Scroll down to the Text section of the Theme creation window.
Select a font under Font family.
Save your Theme and apply it to your presentation.
The font you choose in a Theme applies to the whole presentation. The default font is Menti. A Theme can use any of these 13 fonts:
Arial
Catamaran
Darwin
Geon Soft
Gilroy
Helvetica
Menti
Nexa Rust
Open Dyslexic
Paul Slab
Playfair Display
Plex Mono
Poppins
One of the available fonts is Open Dyslexic, a font designed to make text easier to read for many people with dyslexia. For more information, see Use a dyslexia-friendly font in your presentations.
Please note: The font style you choose in a Theme is not shown on your participants' phones. The font style is only shown on the presentation screen, which keeps the amount of data downloaded to participants' devices low.
For more about Themes, see Create your own Themes.
Change the font size in Menti Live
How you change the font size in Menti Live depends on the type of slide:
Text slides: choose from seven font sizes for each line of text.
Question slides: choose Small, Default or Large for the question title.
Options and statements: the size is set automatically.
Other content slides, such as Image and Video slides: there is no font size option.
Change the font size on a Text slide
A Text slide has seven font sizes. From largest to smallest, they are Title, Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3, Body 1, Body 2 and Body 3. Text slides also have a Quote style.
To change the font size on a Text slide:
Click the line of text you want to change.
Click the font size dropdown in the top row of the formatting menu. The dropdown shows the font size currently selected, for example Body 1.
Select a new font size.
Each line of text on a Text slide can use a different font size. You can also type #, ## or ### at the start of a line to apply Heading 1, Heading 2 or Heading 3. For all formatting options on a Text slide, see How to add and format text on a Text slide.
Change the font size of a question title
On a question slide, you can set the question title to Small, Default or Large. To change the font size of a question title, click the question title, then select Small, Default or Large in the menu that appears.
Please note: The font size you choose for a question title applies to the whole question slide, except the options and statements.
Change the font size of options and statements
The font size of options and statements on a question slide is set automatically to fit the slide layout.
Please Note: The text size will change for the whole slide except for options and statements.
To make the text of options and statements larger, you can:
Use fewer answer options.
Shorten the text in each answer option.
Shorten the question title.
Pro Tip: If you wish to accommodate longer text but you are unable to do so due to the character limit, or because the question text looks too small, what we suggest is to type any extra information by adding it to the Information for participants section under More settings in the Edit tab. This is available for all question types except Quiz slides.
You can type a maximum of 300 characters under this optional description. The text will only appear in the presentation view when you hover the cursor over the question text (it will show up as a tooltip), but it will appear on your audience's screens all the time.
Text blocks in Menti Form
Text blocks in Menti Form have their own formatting options, and these are different from Text slides in Menti Live. When you click into a text block in a Menti Form, a formatting menu appears with these options:
H1, H2 and H3: format a line as Heading 1, Heading 2 or Heading 3.
Normal text: the button with three horizontal lines returns a line to normal text.
Bold, italic and underline.
Bulleted list and numbered list.
Align left, center, right or justify.
Text blocks in Menti Form do not have the Title, Body 1, Body 2, Body 3 or Quote styles. Themes are not available in Menti Form, so you cannot change the font style in a Menti Form.
You cannot change the font size or formatting of question blocks or answer options in a Menti Form.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to modify the text in the question blocks or the answer options.
