The AI Creation feature is designed to assist you in creating engaging and professional presentations with the click of a button. Simply enter a prompt and follow the instructions to iterate, transforming your presentation ideas into beautifully crafted slides.
Keep in mind that this tool will create a first draft of your presentation, and you should always go through it and make changes as you see fit.
What is AI Creation?
AI Creation is a chat-based assistant that helps you build valuable Mentimeter sessions quickly and easily.
Tell the assistant what you want to create and it will prepare an initial draft for you, then keep chatting with the assistant to improve and adjust the draft. When you are happy, move your draft into the Editor to customize the design and make final changes.
And that's it! Your session is done and you're ready to start your quiz, present your slides or share your survey.
Keep in mind that AI Creation is still in beta testing. You may see some changes as we improve it.
To use AI Creation, you need to opt into the AI features in your account settings. You can learn how to do this and find more information in this article.
Getting started
To create a Menti with AI, click the Start with AI button on the Mentimeter home page. You can also access AI Creation by choosing New Menti and then Start with AI in the Editor.
First, choose the type of Menti you want to create: a live quiz, questions for your audience in a live presentation, a survey to send out or something else. If you’re not sure, select “I’m not sure” and the assistant will help you decide.
Start chatting with the AI assistant to describe what you want to create. Share details like your topic, audience and goal. The assistant will guide the conversation from there and may ask you some follow-up questions.
Reviewing and Improving your draft
Once the assistant has enough information, it will create a first draft and show you a preview.
We know the first draft probably won’t be perfect, so the assistant will ask if you want to make some changes.
You can keep chatting to add, remove or adjust the questions and content in your draft. Want more questions? A different tone? Personalized content? Just ask in the chat.
Keep in mind: you cannot edit the preview directly at this stage. To make changes, use the chat. You will be able to make edits directly and customize the design in the next step.
Finalizing your session
Once you’re happy with the draft, click Export to editor.
You’ll be taken to the Mentimeter Editor, where you can fully customize the content, add images and adjust the design.
When everything looks good, click Present or Share to launch your session and start getting participation.
Keep in mind
AI can make mistakes: always review AI-generated content before sharing.
AI creation is a starting point - the assistant helps you prepare interactive sessions and ask the right questions to achieve your goal, but it may not always get things right. You can adjust the content and customize the design directly in the Editor before sharing with your audience.
Tips
You’re in control: the more context you provide to the assistant (like the audience, topic or purpose), the better your draft will be.
If you’re not sure where to start, pick from the suggested prompts or just start chatting with the assistant. You don’t need to get it perfect in your first message.
Go beyond basic prompts: try asking for best practices, tips, guidance on the best questions to ask, reasons why certain questions were included, and more.
