Sharing the presentation link, as a Presenter, allows others to view your presentation slides, including results, if they have been collected prior to sharing.

Sharing the presentation link can be used in a number of different cases, including, before, during, or after your presentation. Some examples include:

  • Before your presentation: You may want someone to preview your slides, without editing rights, before going live.

  • During your presentation: You may want others to access the live results of your presentation remotely.

  • After the presentation: You may want to share the results of your presentation to your participants or post it up online for others to have access to.

Please Note: With a free account, participants in your presentation have the option to access your results by default. This setting can only be changed with a paid subscription.

How to share the presentation link

1. Open the "Share" menu

You can open the Share menu either from your dashboard by clicking on the three dots to the right of the presentation title, and select "Share" from the dropdown menu:

Or you can open the Share menu from the edit view of your presentation by pressing the Share button in the top right corner of the presentation's edit view.

2. Copy the link to slides

In the new window that appears, select the Slides tab and click Copy link under the section Link to slides:

When you share the Presentation URL, the person who receives it will get the following view, where they can see the presentation:

What the recipient sees

What the recipient of the link will see depends on their plan type and whether or not they have been invited as co-editors of the presentation:

If they do not have a Mentimeter account (or are not logged in), they will see a simple version of the presentation slides.

If they open the link from their logged in account (but are not co-editors), they will be able to see a "View Only" copy of your presentation. They cannot edit the presentation, but they will have the option to save a copy of your slides on their own account if they wish to.

If they have been invited as collaborators and have a Pro or Enterprise license, they will enter Edit view and be able to edit the presentation.

If they have been invited as collaborators but are on a Basic, Free or Member Lite role, they will be able to view presentation and leave comments, but not edit the presentation.

Please Note: As the link directs one to the live view of your presentation, do be careful not to delete or hide your results, or the recipient will not be able to see them.

Also, keep in mind that sharing the presentation link is different from sharing the participation link.
