If you want to use the same presentation several times – either for the same group of people or for a different audience – this can easily be done by creating a new session.
The data from the previous sessions will be stored and you can access them again at any time.
Please note that only your most recent session will be available as a PDF export, so be sure to export your results before you create a new session. If you are on a paid account you can also find the archived sessions in your excel export.
How to create a new session
When you have completed collecting data in a Menti, you can create a new session. This will store your existing data as a session and create a new empty session. Your Menti will then be ready to be used again.
There are two ways to create a new session: either directly from the Create view or from the Results view.
Create a new session from the Results view
If it is not already opened, open the “Overview” pane on the right hand side of the Results page, just below the “Present” button:
At the bottom of the Overview pane, select “New session”
In the dialogue that opens, confirm your choice by clicking “Continue”
Create a new session from the Edit view
You can create a new session from the Edit view.
Click the downward arrow next to the “Present” button
Select “Start a new session” (note that this can only be done when you have collected results in the Menti)
How to access stored results from previous sessions
When you clear a session, the data will be saved and stored. You can access each of your previous sessions at any time via the presentation menu:
Click the "Present" button and navigate to a slide where you have previously had responses
Open the presentation menu by hovering your mouse cursor over the bottom-left corner of the slide
Select the Show History button on the left-side toolbar
Click on the session you want to access. This will show that session's results for the slide you are currently viewing
Note: It is not possible to export results from older sessions, but you can take screenshots of older slide sessions if you want to save them.
Delete data for a single slide
Delete the data in a slide while presenting
Note: This will permanently delete the data from the slide. If you want to access the data later, create a new session instead.
If you wish to delete the data for a slide while presenting, for example if you have been testing the slide or if you want to re-phrase the question and re-capture responses from your audience, do the following:
Navigate to the slide for which you want to delete all data
Press the trash-can icon from the left-hand presentation menu
3. Confirm deletion in the dialog that appears
Delete an old session
If you want to permanently delete a session you can simply click the trash bin icon next to the session in the “History” tab, then confirm in the pop-up:
