An avatar will be assigned randomly to you
Choose your own nickname or use the suggested name
Answer the questions as they appear before time runs out
See if the answer was right or wrong
Check your score
You may be asked to answer two types of questions: for Select Answer questions you can choose from predefined options, while in Type Answer questions you can enter free-text answers.

If the presentation has several quiz questions, the results from all questions will be accumulated to determine the final winner.
Why wasn't I assigned an avatar and asked to enter my name?
There can be two reasons for this. The first is that the presentation does not contain Quiz slides. The avatar, nickname, and leaderboard feature only work if you are using Quiz slides (not Question slides). If you want to use these features, the presenter needs to select the right slide types. Learn more about the difference between Quiz slides and Question slides.
The other reason can be that you have already connected to this quiz before. Mentimeter remembers devices, so if you connect to a quiz again, you will automatically be assigned the same avatar and nickname as before.
If you want to be able to enter a new nickname, you can clear the browser cache on your voting device, and then connect to the quiz again.
