Comparing two slides side by side with a Compare slide

A Compare slide lets you place any two slides from your presentation next to each other and display their live results simultaneously.

Use The Compare slide to show your audience how responses shifted between two moments in a session, for example, asking the same question before and after a discussion, and revealing the difference together, live in the moment.

Adding a Compare slide

You can add a Compare slide in two ways:

From the slide panel:

  1. Open your presentation in Edit view.

  2. Click Add slide.

  3. Select Compare slide from the Content slides section.

By right-clicking an existing slide:

  1. Right-click the slide you want to use as a source.

  2. Select Compare from the menu.

  3. A new Compare slide is inserted directly after the slide you right-clicked.

Selecting source slides

Once you have added a Compare slide, you select your two source slides directly on the Compare slide in Edit view.

  1. Use the +Select 1 slide button

  2. Pick a slide from the sidebar

  3. Repeat with Compare slide 2

Note: Source slides must appear before the Compare slide in the slide order. You can use any slide type except Quiz slides.

Changing your source slide selections

You can change either source slide at any time before or during your presentation.

  1. Navigate to the Compare slide in Edit view.

  2. Click Change slide on the source slide you want to replace.

  3. Select a new source slide from your presentation.

Presenting a Compare slide

When you navigate to the Compare slide during a live presentation, both source slides appear side by side. Their results update in real time as participants respond. You do not need to take any additional action - the results display automatically when you reach the Compare slide.
