Share the Menti link

Learn how to let anyone access the live results of your presentation.

Sharing the Menti link, as a Presenter, allows others to view your Menti slides, including results, if they have been collected prior to sharing.

Sharing the Menti link can be used in a number of different cases, including, before, during, or after your Menti. Some examples include:

  • Before presenting your Menti: You may want someone to preview your slides, without editing rights, before going live.

  • While presenting your Menti: You may want others to access the live results of your Menti remotely.

  • After presenting your Menti: You may want to share the results of your Menti to your participants or post it up online for others to have access to.

Please Note: With a free account, participants in your Menti have the option to access your results by default. This setting can only be changed with a paid subscription.

How to share the Menti link

1. Open the "Share" menu

You can open the Share menu either from your dashboard by clicking on the Share button next to the folder title:

Or you can open the Share menu from the edit view of your Menti by pressing the Share button in the top left corner of the presentation's edit view, next to the settings button:

2. Copy the link to slides

In the new window that appears, select Copy link under the section Access level:

When you share the Menti URL, the person who receives it will get the following view, where they can see the Menti view.

What the recipient sees

What the recipient of the link will see depends on their plan type and whether or not they have been invited as co-editors of the Menti:

If they do not have a Mentimeter account (or are not logged in), they will see a simple version of the Menti slides.

If they open the link from their logged in account (but are not co-editors), they will be able to see a "View Only" copy of your Menti. They cannot edit the Menti, but they will have the option to save a copy of your slides on their own account if they wish to.

If they have been invited as collaborators and have a Pro or Enterprise license, they will enter Edit view and be able to edit the Menti.

If they have been invited as collaborators but are on a Basic, Free or Member Lite role, they will be able to view Menti and leave comments, but not edit the Menti.

Please Note: As the link directs one to the live view of your Menti, do be careful not to delete or hide your results, or the recipient will not be able to see them.

Also, keep in mind that sharing the Menti link is different from sharing the participation link.
