If you’re presenting to an international audience, you can make the experience even more seamless by changing the language of the join instructions on your presentation and the participation view on menti.com. Once participants have joined your Menti on the menti.com webpage, most buttons and messages will automatically appear and be translated in the language you’ve selected.
Please note: It is currently not possible to change the language of the Mentimeter website or the Mentimeter platform and editor. However, many of our non-English speaking users have installed in-browser translation plugins that translate entire websites automatically for you.
How to change the language of menti.com
To change the language of the web page elements on the participation view, open the Settings menu by clicking on the gear icon in the top left corner of the screen and select Language preferences.
This will open a menu where you can change the presentation language, set a default language, and activate the Profanity Filter in the selected language.
The join instructions and the elements on the menti.com webpage will now be updated and translated into the selected language.
Currently, you can choose from a wide range of languages, including Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Punjabi, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Tamil, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Welsh.
We are always looking to expand and offer Mentimeter in more languages. If you'd like to contribute and help translate Mentimeter into your own language, please contact us at hello@mentimeter.com to let us know!
