With the Pin on Image question type, your audience can interact with your slide and point to an area of an image. Let your audience pin on a map where they are from or test your students' knowledge by having them mark the correct body part on an image in the anatomy class – the Pin on Image question type gives you endless possibilities!

How to create a Pin on Image question

This is how you create a Pin on Image question in Mentimeter:

  1. Add a new slide by click the "+New Slide" button

  2. Choose the Pin on Image question type

  3. Enter in your question by clicking on the header section of the slide

  4. Select the body of the slide and upload your image in the Edit tab on the right hand side.

Please Note: If the participant has multiple input devices such as a touchpad, touchscreen, and external mouse, only one of the input devices will be able to move the pin on the image at the moment in the voting view due to a web browser limitation.

Show Correct Area on a Pin on Image

If you want your audience to click on a specific area, you can mark part of the Pin on Image as correct. Here’s how:

1. Click on the body of the slide on the left, then toggle "Choose correct area" in the right side panel:

2. Adjust the area according to your preferences and confirm by clicking the "Set correct area" button.

And that’s it! Now you can ask your audience to aim for a specific area in the Pin on Image. To display or hide the correct area while presenting, simply hit the Enter key.
