Do you already have an existing presentation that you’d like to use in Mentimeter? No problem. If you have any of our paid plans, you can import your Powerpoint, Keynote or PDF presentation to Mentimeter.

Note: The slide deck will be imported as static images, so no animations will follow. To keep your animations, you can embed your PowerPoint presentation to Mentimeter. If you have a video in the presentation you want to import, you can add it to a Video slide.

This is how you do it:

  1. Create a new presentation

  2. Select the “Import” button

  3. Choose a file from your computer

  4. The imported slides will show up at the end of your presentation

You can upload .ppt, .pptx, .key or .pdf files. The maximum file size is 80 MB and the maximum number of slides is 100.

How to import a presentation from Google Slides

For Google Slides presentations, you can choose to download them as .pptx or .pdf files. Once you’ve done that, you can simply import the downloaded file to Mentimeter.

Add interaction to your slides

Just as with any other slide you add in Mentimeter, you can choose how the participants can interact with it. Add reactions to your slide or experiment with different question types to let participants vote while your imported slide is active!

Imported slides from the Audience perspective

When you have imported slides to Mentimeter, the slides will be imported as static images. In the voting devices this will be shown as an image:

If your slide contains detailed information and you’re finding the image too small, don’t worry! A simple tap on the image will open it up in a larger format. If the audience uses smartphones, they can also tilt the phone to get the image in landscape view to see it in bigger format.

Pro tip: Just so you know, Mentimeter has a great variety of content slides that you can use to create your entire presentation directly in Mentimeter. Take a look at this article to learn more!
